According to a statement released by ‘Group of Nenwe President-General,” on Monday, Comr. Ogwo has taken the burden of 17 best pupils who were picked from each of the 17 hamlets in Emudo community Nenwe. He paid their First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) fees and proceeded to clear all their other fees and levies.

When contacted, Comr. Ogwo told The Mail that his motivation was born out of his desire to give back to the society even as the present hardship bite harder.

“I finds out that a lot of brilliant pupils are finding it hard to register and clear their school fees for First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) exams because of money. Apart from this, there are also people who have other daunting challenges as regards finishing primary six class soundly,” Comr. Ogwo said.

This is coming weeks after a man popularly known as Omenife Oduma paid WAEC and NECO fees to tens of candidates in Aninri.

The rate at which private individuals are helping the society in Aninri is far outweighing efforts of politicians – a development which serves to prove that one needs not to be a politician before his impact could be felt in the society, according to Aninri stakeholders who preferred not to be named.

Comr. Ogwo Celestine Ekene, former President of Faculty of Physical Science at Odimegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State in 2018, is the Director of Celebobo Wine & General Goods in Enugu.
