Militants set to destroy pipelines as plot to remove Fubara thickens

“[We] are solidly behind him (Fubara),” is now the clarion call in Rivers State after Timi Frank said it.

Comrade Timi, former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleged that President Bola Tinubu is behind a clandestine plot to remove Governor Siminalayi Fubara from office.

But should that happens, he said, oil infrastructures in entire Niger Delta would be blown overnight.

Timi was speaking in the wake of Federal High Court ruling which barred Rivers State from accessing federal allocations.

Fubara has already appealed the court decision, but such step is certain to amount to nothing as the ongoing crisis in the oil state is part of a “sinister scheme” to reelect Tinubu in 2027, Timi said.

The governor has two choices, the former APC chieftain said. Its either Fubara joined APC and dance to Tinubu’s tune or he is forced out of office.

“This is why the President has remained mute despite the gross violation of the Constitution by the courts and police in Rivers State,” Timi said, added that Wike and his allies were under instructions to “ensure that Fubara succumbs to the President’s wishes.”
