
Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, the chairman of Aninri local government area, has released another batch of appointments.
This was disclosed in a circular, Wednesday, by the chairman’s special adviser on public enlightenment Mr Nike Ekpete.

Dr Ejike Lawrence Okeke and Mr Anthony Ugo were made special advisers on lands and urban development and on legislative matters respectively. And their appointments took effects the same day, the circular read.
“The executive chairman of Aninri Local Government Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku has released the following appointments and charged the new appointees to carry out their respective duties in line with the status quo, disruption and innovative style of leadership already existing in Aninri,” Ekpete said.
Since assuming office on October 1, 2024, Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku has made nearly 70 appointments, for the first time in the council, picking professionals across party line and across community divides.
“He has united all of us as the wise man we call him. He has healed the party, we no more have bitterness,” a PDP stakeholder said.

And prompt payment to Aninri workforce has also endeared the young leader to his people – fact that is already beginning to stir fear among possible hopefuls who may want to contest the seat with him in 2026.
