“SO SAD!” Former Speaker, Ghali Na’Abba, is dead

It is so sad a news that Ghali Na’Abba, former Speaker of House of Representatives, has died

Former Speaker of House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba, has died.

Na’Abba died early today December 27 in Abuja and would be buried later in the day according to Islamic rites, a family source said.

According to the source, the former Speaker had suffered protracted ailment. He was flown abroad and, when he recovered, was returned to Nigeria. But the illness started again.

Born on September 27, 1958, late Na’Abba was the Speaker of the 8th Assembly. He was a founding father of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In 1999 he became the party’s candidate for Kano Municipal Federal Constituency, and won.

After the crisis that remove the Speaker of Fourth Republic, Salisu Buhari, Na’Abba emerged the Speaker.

Ghali Na’Abba read Political Science at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated in 1979.
