“THERE’S NOTHING I WOULDN’T DO FOR YOUNG FARMERS IN ENUGU,” – UBRU UNVEILS ANOTHER STAGE OF GOVT. INTERVENTION PLAN

Enugu State Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Hon. Patrick Ubru, has reassured the youths of the state of the government readiness to fully utilize the young people’s potentials in carrying out most of the programmes in the Ministry.

Ubru said this on Friday when he received the Enugu State Young Farmers Association.

According to him, the administration of Governor Peter Mbah is specially interested in young people who have dropped their ego and are redefining the concept of farming in Enugu.

Reacting to Ubru’s warm reception, the leader of the farmers association and former candidate for Udi local government area Chairmanship, Mr. Kenneth Eze, agreed that Gov. Mbah is sincere in his efforts to revolutionize agriculture through youths’ participation.

“We thank you so much Honourable Commissioner for the warm reception. We thank you more for what you’re already doing through the youths.

“Be rest assured sir that we’re ready to participate fully in achieving the state’s goals and we’ll never let you down,” Eze said.

Mbah-led administration has acquired over 12 million acres of land for agricultural purposes, having already cultivated thousands acres with cash crops.
