Not everyone in Nigeria is feeling the heat of poverty. Popular Tiktoker Peller has shocked fans when he revealed his financial successes in a recent interview.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds, Peller clarified that he wasn’t making as much as ₦200 million weekly on Tiktok as was generally speculated.
However, the amount he named really set many in a shock. Peller makes a whooping sum of ₦20 million weekly on the social media platform, he said, shading light on his working strategies.
When he set out at the beginning it was not for financial gains. He said he was initially creating entertaining contents just for fun but later stumbled upon successful strategies of live-streaming and interacting with his audience without asking for gifts.
Peller shared that his live streams, which come two or three times a week, last between 20 and 30 minutes. By the time he was done in each stream he made $2,000; sometimes he made $3,000. But there was a time he hit $10,000 at a go.
“All the conversations about me making ₦200 million are not true. I didn’t go to TikTok to make money. I went there because I wanted to be doing tap-tap. Before, I wasn’t even interested in making money on TikTok.
Peller’s is just another success story from the platform which is facing a ban in the United States.
