Senator Abaribe made this known this evening through a statement by his Media Adviser, Uchenna Awom.

“This current Federal Government will do something very fast to release Nnamdi Kanu, if for no other reason, but for national cohesion and unity of the country.

“As Leaders, we shall continue to press for a solution that will be the best in the circumstance.”

Urging the Igbos not to dispair over the disappointing outcome of the Supreme Court judgement, the Senator expressed readiness to be stepping out as the next leader of Igbo nation even as former governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, died.

Supreme Court has set aside earlier ruling of Appeal Court, insisted that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) be returned to detention.
