Pa Adedapo Idowu has suddenly become the talk of the town after he registered to write JAMB.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has carried the unusual story on its latest bulletin, giving life to the buzz on X and other social media platforms.

Pa Idowu spoke for himself, said he successfully registered for 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). According to him, he wanted to fulfill his life ambition of reading political science at University of Ibadan.
Idowu advised other candidates to be serious and to work hard to truly meet JAMB requirements for admission.
“I can now attain my dream at an advanced age.
“The registration staff gave me a sense of belonging through the warm reception at the registration venue,” the old man said.
The 2025 UTME registration started on January 31.
As at last week, 700,000 candidates have already registered, according to statement from the board. Of the number, 11,000 are underage.
While some netizens applaud Idowu for not giving up his quest to acquire university education, others dismissed his action simply as some publicity stunt.
