If there is anything the Zimbabweans want the most now, its for their Warriors to defeat Nigeria’s Super Eagles. They’ll do anything to see that happen.
Their President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, is dangling a whooping $150,000 bonus on the team’s face, ready to give it to them if they defeat the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, next week Tuesday.
Zimbabwean Warriors now has a very slim chance in the 2026 World Cup Qualifier. They are at the bottom rung of the ladder in Group C, with just two points from four games.
And there is a little hope still for the struggling team. Their clash with the Cheetahs of Benin Republic, yesterday, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban ended in 2-2 draw. President Mnangagwa’s pledge didn’t do much to motivate the national team which never qualify for World Cup before.
But the Super Eagles themselves are already facing a lot of difficulties in their bid to make it in the World Cup Qualifying series. They can’t afford to lose to Rwanda today – let alone to Zimbabwe.
