• More on Akpabio Natasha Akpoti
The senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has vowed to embarrass Akpabio as their rift took a new turn.
Recall that the two senators had a face-off since last week. The Senate President had, on Thursday, asked Natasha to relocate her sitting during a plenary. She judged that to have been done in bad faith, and took to her Instagram to demand open hearing on the matter.
More things probably happened, and the woman lawmaker had to sue Akpabio for ₦100.3 billion.

But she seems to lack what it takes to rock horns with the former Akwa Ibom State Governor. Groups and influential voices are siding with him, while those with Natasha are speaking with muffled voices.
Already, Northern Youths Advocacy for Excellence (NOYAD), a powerful group from the North is pressuring Natasha.
NOYAD has dragged the Kogi lawmaker before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, accusing her for number of indicting offences.
The NOYAD’s petition is the latest development in the increasing twist, and Natasha is feeling the heat. It detailed how she misappropriated fund for the Senate Committee on the Diaspora and Non-governmental organisations, which she chairs. Also, she was accused of sidelining Edith Ajah, the Clerk of the Senate Committee on Local Content, and of forcing millions of naira out of oil and gas companies.
How Senator Natasha Akpoti reacts to NOYAD’s petition
Reacting to the allegations, Senator Natasha Akpoti vowed to speak out on national television.
“This petition came to my notice a few hours ago. In as much as I have refrained from publicly speaking on the matter and a lot of occurrences at the Senate under Senate President Godswill Akpabio, it’s about time I broke my silence,” she stated.
She also called on Nigerians to actively engage in the ensuing battle that is about to unfold, promising that “the next few days and weeks shall be interesting but will shape the standard and quality of Nigeria’s leadership“.
