Aninri’s chairman-elect Nwanjoku receives his Certificate of Return

The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) has issued Certificate of Return to Prince Ugo Nwanjoku, the chairman-elect of Aninri local government area.

Nwanjoku received his certificate alongside 16 other chairmen-elect at ENSIEC headquarters in Enugu, today.

The Mail reported that the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party won the 17 council areas in the just concluded council elections which took place last Saturday.

The elections were judged “free and fair” by observers, with contenders from major opposition parties already conceded and congratulated PDP winners across the state.

The chairmanship candidate for All Progressives Congress in Aninri, Mr. Amobi Agbara, who had acknowledged multiple times in live video clip that the elections was free and fair, has called to congratulate the winner.
