Another Nollywood star from Enugu, Stella Ikwuegbu, is dead

Nollywood star actress Stella Ikwuegbu has died. The unfortunate news was announced yesterday, through his Instagram page, by movie producer, Stanley Nwoko otherwise known as Stanley Ontop.

“Nollywood actress and veteran Mrs Stella Ikwuegbu is dead. The veteran actress left this world today after battling with leg cancer. Rest well, Madam Stella. Nollywood again. It’s well,” Nwoko said.

She died on Sunday, 16 June after protracted battle with leg cancer.

Began acting in 1990s, Mrs Ikwuegbu starred in many movies, including “Madam Koi Koi,” “Spoiler,’ ‘Ukwa,’ ‘Sound of Love,’ ‘Holy Man,’ ‘Two Hearts,’ ‘Heart of Stone and many others. Aside acting, she was a businesswoman.

She would be the third of Enugu-born movie stars who died in the space of four months after Mr. John Okafor from Nkanuland and Junior Pope from Nsuka.
