Army pledges “special support” to Aninri under Nwanjoku

Major James Sani, commandant of the Comprehensive Command Secondary School, Mpu, of Nigerian Army pledged special support to Aninri local government area under council chairman Prince Ugo Nwanjoku

Major James Sani, commandant of the Comprehensive Command Secondary School, Mpu, has paid a working visit to Prince Ugo Nwanjoku.

Major Sani who visited the council area yesterday, among other things, decorated him with honour.

This was disclosed this morning in a statement from the chairman’s media office.

“Yesterday, I received Major James Sani, the commandant of the Comprehensive Command Secondary School, Mpu, Aninri LGA, who paid me a working visit alongside some senior military officers and school management team,” the statement read in part.

The army pledged full cooperation in the areas of security, education and health.

Aninri, which had been a war zone since 2022 to early this year, has suddenly quietened.

“The Mayor’s ability to bring strategic relationships to the governance is unmatched,” said Stanley Okoye, stakeholder of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

“We appreciate him. It shall be well with Nwanjoku [Ugo]. Aninri shall succeed. Its now that we’re indeed on the path of progress,” Okoye added.
