Bandits attack hospital, kidnap 4 women and kill guard in Katsina
Bandits have attacked Kurfi General Hospital in Kurfi local government area of Katsina state, kidnapping 4 women and killing the hospital guard.
The incident occurred yesterday, Daily Trust reported.

When their prime target, one Mustapha Hamza who is Anastasia nurse, escaped they caught his wife, according to eyewitness.
“Whey they started arguing, the watchman quickly went and locked the hospital gate, unknown to him that other armed members of the attackers were outside,” the source said.
“They jumped over the wall fence and shot the watchman in the stomach. It was thought that he had d!ed but was later given first aid and rushed to a hospital in Katsina.
“Mustapha is an Anastasia nurse and he was on call at the time to attend to a woman who would undergo surgery.
“Usually, his wife would follow him whenever he was called because she would not be comfortable staying back home alone. And that was how she fell victim in the attack,” the source said.

Hon. Mannir Shehu Wurma, the chairman of Kurfi local government area, has confirmed the incident and said what every Nigerian politician would say – that he is on top of the situation.
Recent report by Beacon Consulting, a firm specialised in security risk management, said that bandits killed 13,346 people and kidnapped 9,207 others under President Bola Tinubu.
