Gov. Mohammed exposes the “black sheep” behind PDP crisis

Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has pinpointed names of those behind the unending crisis of the People's Democratic Party (PDP)

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has pointed out why the crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) still continue.

Speaking during an interview with BBC Hausa yesterday, the governor expressed worries that the party’s founding members and important stakeholders are dumping the party in droves ahead of 2027.

He pinpointed the major cause of the growing trouble with the party at a certain “black sheep” within the ranks of PDP leadership.

“There is a black sheep in our midst, working for the APC to destabilize,” he declared.

Few months before the battle for power in the 2027 elections begins, the lingering crisis in the main opposition party has only deepened.

Few days ago, a major stakeholder and former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, dumped PDP. According to Governor Mohammed, more influential figures in the party are also set to defect.

“You mentioned former Sokoto governor Attahiru Bafarawa leaving the party; I can tell you that more influential figures are on the verge of doing the same,” Gov. Mohammed said.

He urged those figures who are set to leave the party to stay, assuring them the party would bounce back to power. But this is not the only time the party chieftains make promises of bringing it back but fail to do so.
