
Just months after some of them derided him, world leaders are now taking turns to identify with Donald Trump as he decidedly won the U.S presidential election.

Again, the Republican has defied the establishment media and seasoned pundits’ opinions to make it to the White House. He did the same in 2016.
Already, he has bagged 277 electoral votes and 70,944,123 popular votes as against his rival Kamala Haris’ 224 electoral votes and 66,028,931 popular votes.
Having passed the 270 electoral votes threshold, Trump is back to Oval office, a development that’s certain to put many nations at odds.
“Dear Donald and Melania…, congratulations on history’s greatest comeback!” wrote Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister.
The two leaders enjoyed good relationship during Trump’s first term. Trump was angry when the Israeli leader congratulated Joe Biden after 2020 elections, but they made up their differences during the 2024 campaign.
Also, Ukraine President President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Trump, said he appreciated “Trump’s commitment to the ‘peace through strength’ approach in global affairs.”
Trump has made number of sarcastic comments about Zelensky, one time calling the Ukrainian leader the highest “salesman on earth.”
During Presidential debate with Kamala Haris, Trump maintained he would not support the Russia-Ukraine war – the position Zelensky didn’t like.
“I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when he discussed in detail the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on X, congratulating Trump.
“Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump. Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity,” said Macron.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated the President-elect and said: “Italy and the United States are “sister” nations, bound by an unbreakable alliance, common values and a historic friendship. It’s a strategic link, which I’m sure will now strengthen even more.”
