A 33-year-old woman, Comfort Tinubu, has been remanded in prison for stabbing her own husband to death.

Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, heard the case yesterday.
Police charged Mrs Tinubu to court for murder following the incident which happened on October 30.
According to Police prosecutor, Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, Mrs Tinubu used knife to stabbed her husband, 39, during an argument in their house at Zone 5, Gbelu, Iyana-Agbala, Ibadan.
The offense contradicts Section 316 and is punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000, Akinloye said.
However, the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi said she didn’t have the jurisdiction to preside over the case and therefore adjourned it until March 5, 2025 for mention.
She further said she would seek legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
