One Mr. Anthony Onyeukwu is presently cooling his feet in Correctional Centre, Enugu for killing his 11-year-old houseboy.

The matter is in the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Enugu East local government area, Enugu State.
In a statement released yesterday, the Commissioner of Gender, Ngozi Enih, disclosed that Onyeukwu’s prosecution is part of the state ongoing efforts to combat child abuse.
On how the suspect was arrested, Mrs Enih said the ministry got tipoff from one of its many whistleblower channels. Then, the suspect was arrested and arraigned last week.
According to the ministry, Onyeukwu, 47, abused his houseboy to death on October 15 at his residence in Loma Linda Extension, Maryland, Enugu.
After killing the boy, the suspect hastily buried him in Abia State, lying that he died of illness at Park Lane Hospital in Enugu.
Meanwhile, investigation exposed the lie as hospital document proved such a patient was never admitted.
The Chief Magistrate adjourned the case to November 20 pending report from Director of Public Prosecutions, Ministry of Justice.
