Tit-for-tat is one of the most cherished ways of thing for the US president Donald Trump. He even wrote about it in one of his books, “Think Big and Kick Ass in Business and Life.”
Yesterday, he announced his plan to hit former president Joe Biden hard. Biden, who obviously never expected Trump’s comeback after his win in 2020, had cut the 45th president’s access to intelligence briefings.
Now, its Trump’s time to revenge. He posted on his Truth Social yesterday after he returned for weekend to his Mar-a-Lago home and private club in Palm Beach.
Joe Biden would not just lose access to intelligence briefings – one of the privileges of former presidents which is traditional – but he would also lose his security clearance, Trump said.
“There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings,” he posted, citing how Biden instructed the Intelligent Community (IC) to stop sending details on national security to him in 2021.
Donald Trump is clearly fighting back at his critics and some persons he judged to be very disloyal to him in the circles of politics.
Mike Pompeo, the former secretary of the state during Trump’s first term had had his security details revoked last week. And Pompeo is facing threats from Iran.
Former infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci and more than 40 others have also received Trump’s sledgehammer as he dutifully striped them of security.
