Edo Guber: EFCC arrests vote buyers in Egor LGA

Edo State election is hot right now.

Three suspected vote buyers are cooling their head in custody of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission after they were arrested for vote buying.

The incident occurred at Egor local government area, and the suspects are two men and one woman.

It is common for Nigerian politicians to try to sway voters’ decision during elections. Several civil society organization, including Yiaga Africa, have already warned that Edo election wouldn’t be exception.

Also, the election is expected to be marred by violence. Egor is one of the eight council areas marked as hotspot.

Others included Ovia south-west, Ovia north-east, Egor, Oredo, Ikpoba Okha, Etsako west, Etsako east, and Esan south-east.
