  • Former Governor Samuel Ortom says he would not be running for political position in 2027
  • He says he failed in 2023 because of the same God-factor

Former governor of Benue, Samuel Ortom, is causing people to laugh on social media.

He made number of amusing remark, including that God has told him not to run for any political position in 2027 election cycle.

Governor Ortom stated this in Makurdi yesterday at the meeting with the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) G-14 members.

G-14 members are elders of the PDP in the 14 Tiv speaking local government areas in the state.

“God has revealed everything to me. He has asked me to wait for him,” he said, confessing that he failed in his senatorial bid in 2023 simply because he didn’t listen to God’s “revelation.”

The former governor equally vowed that PDP would take over the Benue State in 2027.
