Is Buhari dumping APC? Gov Abdullahi Sule opens up

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has reacted to recent actions of former President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari is rumoured to be dumping the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He would be taking the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc out of APC, so goes the story.

If this is true, then its going to be the first major blow to the ruling party. APC is gaining so far. Last week, the whole structures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) collapsed into APC in Delta state.

And more states are set to follow in a move that is fast crippling the main opposition party ahead of 2027 elections.

Buhari is the leader of CPC, but it’s a mere lie that he was taking the bloc away from APC. Governor Abdullahi Sule spoke at a grand reception organised in honour of the newly-appointed Secretary to the State, Labaran Magaji.

“There is nothing like taking CPC away. There is only one person in this world that can decide for the CPC, and that is our father, Muhammadu Buhari.

“Nobody speaks of the CPC more than this man. The day he says CPC is with you, then CPC is with you,” Governor Abdullahi Sule said.

According to him, Buhari had no reason to join Nasir El-Rufai’s coalition. And the governor sounded so certain about this. He and some others had recently visited Buhari in Kaduna to confirm all he was saying.

In other words, President Tinubu’s bid for a second term still seem certain as opposition continues to wane by the day.
