Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has reacted to the allegation that he was responsible for the pregnancy Nengi is carrying.

Governor Diri is caught up in crossfire since last week after it leaked that former TV star Nengi Rebecca Hampson was pregnant. Nengi is also from Bayelsa. Some added that she has already welcome the baby and that Governor Diri is the father of her newborn.
After the conclusion of BBNaija season Governor Diri appointed Nengi his Senior Special Assistant on Girl Child Development.
But the relationship between two is just that former and official one, Governor’s Director of New Media, Dr. Kola Oredipe, said in a post on social media, describing Governor Diri as “a man of honour and dignity.”
“It is regrettable that purveyors of fake news are not happy with the towering political profile of the governor.
“This is a distraction and some of us are very justified in the many reasons offered to regulate the use of the various social media,” Oredipe said.
