
Days after Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo launched Operation “Udo ga-achi” security outfit, gunmen swooped and kidnapped a medical doctor.

Dr. Collinus Onuigbo, the victim, is a neurosurgeon at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) in Nnewi. According to eyewitness accounts, the gunmen blocked Dr. Onuigbo near his residence along the university axis yesterday night and left with him.
His family is reportedly making effort to secure the doctor unhurt.
Meanwhile, spokesman of Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident, said the police has begun aggressive manhunt to track the kidnappers and rescue Dr. Onuigbo.
Governor Charles Soludo, who continued to present himself as a ruthless chief security officer of Anambra state, would however be face tough reelection bid late this year. Security is certainly going to be one of the major issues on the voters’ mind.
