Nwanjoku made his plans known earlier today at a closed-door meeting with the council’s education department at the headquarters.
“The general idea is to live up to the standard already set by his Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah,” the chairman said before he entered the meeting hall with the school heads.
The meeting saw the gathering of proprietors, proprietress as well as heads of private and public schools all across Aninri.
Also in attendance were the education secretaries of four Development Centers in the zone.
Describing the meeting new and unique, a man who volunteered as spokesperson for the educators said it was the first time gathering of that kind would be taking place in Aninri.
“We owe God every praise for giving us a young man [Prince Nwanjoku] …This is the first time we’re having this kind of meeting in Aninri,” said the spokesperson to a loud applause.
Recall that Governor Peter Mbah has already 10 ‘Smart Schools’ in the 10 political wards in Aninri.
Nwanjoku, who campaigned on the premise of replicating the governor’s strategies in the local communities, said he would also prioritize education in the area.
Aninri is in a mess, it needs emergency at every fabrics of its existences. Nearly all the public schools are no longer working, with little children of school age dropping into waste.
