He was arrested for killing his wife for cooking noodles instead of “solid” food last Thursday 14 December.

According to Punch, the incident happened at Olota area of the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos.

The man had returned home and found that his wife cooked noodles. He descended on her and beat her to a pulp and then left the house.

Soon their neighbours called him that his wife was convulsing. He returned and as they were taking her to the hospital she died on the way.

A source at Meiran Police Division said the suspect was arrested after the victim’s brother reported the case to the police, adding that investigation has been transferred to Panti.

The police source said:

“It was the brother of the deceased who came to report the matter. He said the husband killed his sister.

“However, nobody has come forward to tell us that it was her husband who killed her. We have arrested the husband. The matter has already been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.”

The police said they are not yet convinced whether the suspect really killed his wife as not even one of the neighbours is willing to give testimonies and the family has already buried the deceased.
