A Nigerian Catholic Priest has raised dust online. He didn’t just disclosed that he married a wife, but has also posted photos of his wife and four lovely children.
He didn’t stop there. The priest went ahead and defended his action. According to him, its “Roman Catholic”, not “Catholic Priest” who has to keep the rule of celibacy.
Someone said: “Are you people allowed to marry? And is it the same mass and how do we differentiate the parishes? Do you attend same seminary”?
To these the priest answered emphatic yes.
“I’m a catholic priest, not Roman Catholic,” he said.
His post has since generated interest or, rather, some confusion. Traditionally, Catholic Priests adhere strictly to the doctrine of celibacy.
However, some netizens take the priest’s side, arguing the doctrine of celibacy is outdated. Its should be reconsidered, they said, because total so many Catholic priests have fallen to fornications multiple times.
