
MC Oluomo (real name: Alhaji Musliu Akinsaya) has emerged the president of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), south west zone.

The union held its Quadrennial Delegate Conference in Osogbo, Osun State capital, where the elections equally took place.
Delegates from Lagos, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti states attended the conference. NURTW national president National President Aliyu Issa-Ore presided over it.
Details on how the transporter’s union campaigns and wins positions are not in the public domain, but obviously MC Oluomo and his team’s elections appears secure.
During the conference, Issa-Ore highlighted important part of the union’s constitution. According to him, each zone must elect and present its candidates before National Secretariat.
Mrs. Adedamola Salam, NURTW national Head of Finance, came on behalf of the National Headquarters and confirmed MC Oluomo.
Tajudeen Agbede and Akeem Adeosun were also elected the vice-president and southwest trustee respectively.
After oath of office, MC Oluomo, called for peace in the union.

“I have forgiven everyone who may have wronged me and hope that those I have offended can also forgive me,” he said. “This is our union, and we must remain committed to safeguarding it. We will not let anyone jeopardize our source of livelihood.”
MC Oluomo worked hard in Lagos for President Bola Tinubu during 2023 general elections.
