The 2024 U.S Presidential election continues to spring surprises, especially for those in Kamala Haris camp – not for Trump.
As at the time of filing this report, the Republican Party candidate Donald Trump had only 3 electoral votes away from the 270 votes required to be the winner.
According to the Associate Press live tracking, Trump already has 267 electoral votes in his bag, with 69,981,330 popular votes.
His rival, Democratic Party candidate Kamala Haris scored 224 electoral votes and 64,872,385 popular votes.
With all the key swing states – which a candidate need on the way to the White House – called, Haris already lost the elections even though vote counting is still going on in some of the 50 states.
Her campaign said she wouldn’t be speaking to the public until tomorrow, but Trump has addressed cheering crowd of supporters in Florida, and has since been receiving torrents of congratulatory calls from leaders around the world.
For those ardent supporters who nearly gave their lives in hope to elect America’s first woman president, outcomes of the election is a nightmare.
They have already fallen into forlorn, with some crying at various viewing centers across America.
