MTN holds almost every Nigerian by the balls. “Its shocking,” one netizens said as the news turned real that the telecommunication giant has increased data cost of 15GB weekly plan from ₦2,000 to ₦6,000.
Only few days ago the weekly package of 15GB was selling at ₦2,000. The change was unexpected and way too high.
It is not yet clear the service provider’s real motive. Could it be its way of meeting up with the rising inflation and tariffs? Or is it a another way of reducing demand for the plan in order to sell more profitable alternative data plans?
Whatever the reasons may be is not the business of most netizens who rely on data daily. They took to social media platforms to express their dissatisfaction at the unexpected hike.
