NFF names Aliyu Zubairu Flying Eagles new coach

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced Aliyu Zubairu as the new coach of the Flying Eagles, National Men’s U20 football team.

This was disclosed today by Ademola Olajire, NFF’s director of communications.

It was Zubairu who led El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri to victory in June when the team defeated Abia Warriors FC in Lagos. His appointment followed recommendation by NFF’s Technical and Development Sub-Committee and it is hoped he would bring his expertise to bear in his new role.

Zubairu would be assembling and preparing the Flying Eagles for WAFU B U20 Championship which is taking place on October and November in Togo.
