The executive Chairman of Aninri local government area, Prince Ugo Nwanjoku wants the world to judge him by what he would do in the council area for the next two years.
In the video clips already going viral, Nwanjoku is seen touring the spiteful ruins of the council’s headquarters at Ndeaboh.

The video clips are believed to be taken on Monday.
The buildings on the clips lie in ruins, with gutter-size of wall cracks all over them; heaps upon heaps of termite-infested rags that look like some important documents of serious government businesses sprawl in more than one place in each office.
Some of the offices are empty, apart from the thick, scraggy grey designs of cobwebs and litany of dead and living wall geckos mating on the supposed workers’ desks; there are no table, chairs, no shelves and, of course, no worker.
On the corridor, more ruins that could make billy goat puke, litter; years-old grasses crawl from outside into the buildings, easily climbing the walls as if they want to peep to also see the neglect inside the offices.
Reacting on the viral clips, Prince Ugo Nwanjoku told The Mail that Aninri headquarters is indeed in great disrepair although he was quick to tactfully shield his predecessors.

“As you can see (from the video), that was a total disaster. Our headquarters needs emergency, and I can assure our people that we’ll deliver as demanded,” Nwanjoku said.
Its not time for blame games, the Chair said, added that he has no intention to indict any of the chairmen before him since “they did their best in their times.”
Did Bennett Ajah, immediate past Aninri Chairman steal billions of naira?
The viral video clips have done more than highlighting the proposed starting point for Prince Ugo Nwanjoku.
In the eyes of Aninri voters, the clips are eye openers, and has once again reignited all ugly sentiments that followed Hon. Bennett Ajah, the immediate past Aninri boss.
Between 2022 and 2024 – the days of Aja – its believed that a whooping sum of over ₦15 billion naira entered the local government treasury.
Although there is no evidence to proved he stole from the council, the ex-Chairman’s accomplishments are, however, so small that they could not possibly have consumed half of the Treasury in his days.
But, most importantly, the video clips speak most eloquently, and completely countered the many lies of past administration that “our money are used for our dear Aninri.”
“That man [Bennett Ajah] is a green snake. He is a liar, he lied about everything. I almost cried as I watched the videos. Long live Ugo Nwanjoku,” Nwabuilo Eze, a welder, spoke to The Mail in Oduma dialect.
“We need more of these videos. Bennett Ajah and his media idiots publish fine buildings and fine roads on social media.
“What we want is that you show us the bad building or the bad road, then repair them and show us again. We’ll believe you. Nwanjoku is doing well,” said Onwe Ginika from Nenwe.
