Parklane Hospital Enugu wants to throw away 300 dead bodies

Life is vanity. Its disgusting listening to the announcement Enugu State University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital made (ESUT), Parklane, made.

In a public notice by the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Bethrand Ngwu, the hospital would be throwing away 300 dead bodies which have overstayed in its morgues.

Prof. Ngwu dropped the hospital’s phone numbers and emails address while urging those it may concern to act within three weeks after which the corpses would be [disposed]. According to the notice, those affected are corpses which have stayed in the morgue for past six months or more than.

“This announcement serves as a notice to anybody whose relations or friend`s corpse has stayed in the hospital for a period of six months and above, to proceed and claim it.

“Failure to do so within 3 weeks after this announcement all bodies not claimed shall be disposed off permanently, and the hospital will not be held accountable,” the notice read.

However, Prof. Ngwu was not specific on the reasons behind the decision. And he did not state exactly how they want to “dispose” of the 300 dead bodies if there weren’t claimed when the 3-week window elapses.
