“Shut up! You’re a liar,” Ben Alukwu lambasts PDP EXCO in Aninri meeting
It was drama at the high-stake meeting held today at Ndeabor by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when Chief Ben Alukwu “opened fire” at the leadership of the party.
Recall that The Mail earlier reported that PDP would hold its monthly meeting at Ndeabor where there was expected to be low turnout and where the party’s deputy chairman, not the Chairman, Mr. Victor Okoro, is expected to preside.

However, the meeting was presided by Mr. Okoro. And there was massive turnout.
Present at the meeting included Hon. (Engr.) Magnus Edeh, member representing Aninri at the State House of Assembly; Lloyd Ekweremadu, Commissioner for Youths and Sports; Uche Ogbonna, former Commissioner for Works; Chinedu Okwu, former member representing Aninri at the State House of Assembly; Comr. Udengene, former aide to Senator Ike Ekweremadu; many aides to Senator Osita Ngwu, and countless youths and women organisations.
Mr. Ezekiel Chukwu, former council Chairman, was conspicuously absent but his successor, Bennett Ajah, came alongside his councilors who all looked lost and stranded throughout the meeting.
During their speeches, various stakeholders had taken turns to praised the party’s leadership for influencing the mass turnout before Chief Alukwu leaked the secrets.
“I’m pleased that PDP is stronger, better and bigger today in Aninri,” Ekweremadu said, echoing same sentiment shared by Otaka and others.
The fact that there is no enough chairs for the attendees attested that PDP is growing, said the senator’s son, who admitted he was coming to the party’s meeting at council area for the first time in his life.
However, Ben Alukwu shattered the narrative, openly challenging the delegate from the State Government to tell Governor Mbah what he said.
“The turnout you see today is the first of its kind – it never happened before. Or have you had this number of crowd last month?” Alukwu pointed directly to Chairman Victor Okoro who said nothing but only looked small before the crowd cheering their mouthpiece.
It was because threats came from the State days ago that PDP EXCO would be dissolved if members didn’t sit up that caused the turnout, Alukwu said, urging the leadership to take their jobs seriously.
