This was confirmed yesterday through a statement signed by Lalong’s Special Adviser, Dr Makut Simon Macham.
Having contested for the seat of Plateau South Senatorial District in the 2023 election, Lalong failed and then has been in Court all this while he was serving as Minister.
Now that Appeal Court has given him victory, the former Minister has to resign to take up his new role at the Senate.
“However, after extensive consultations, it has become expedient for him to proceed and take his seat at the Red Chambers to continue to contribute to the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr President,” the statement read.
