“This man steals our car, help us catch him”, EFCC begs public

EFCC begs the public to help it catch a man who steals its car - but would the public listen as many guys may share the view that the commission deserve the treatment?

Does EFCC really deserve this treatment? But some guys are not afraid at all.

One Ibrahim Mohammed, 26, has been declared wanted for stealing a vehicle belonging to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission.

The Commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, made this known through a statement yesterday, urging the public to help the police to arrest Ibrahim.

“Anyone with useful information as to his whereabouts should contact the EFCC or the nearest police station.

“The public is hereby notified that Ibrahim Mohammed is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of stealing and illegal possession of commission’s vehicle,” the Commission said.

Ibrahim is an indigene of Jada Local Government Area in Adamawa State.

In a country where the citizenry hate government institutions for the perceived dishonesty of the officials, it is unclear how the public would react to EFCC plea for help especially as there is no bounty involved.
