Believe it or leave it, Ronaldo is the century’s god of football.
With the earning of £208 million he raked last year, Cristiano Ronaldo has again topped the list of the highest-paid athletes, Sportico’s new analysis revealed.
The money was his £175 million deal with the Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasir and staggering earnings from endorsements. He received £85 million more than the second highest-paid athlete.
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry came behind Al-Nasir striker, earning £123 million in 2024; Lionel Messi came a distant third with estimated earning of £108 million during the period under review.
Neymar took 6th position, Karim Benzema 8th and Kylian Mbappe 9th positions with £106 million, £92.9 million and £88.1 million respectively.
However, Steph Curry topped the list of most money made from endorsements in 2024, earning whopping £80 million.
Cristiano Ronaldo is mostly likely going to maintain his status as the highest-paid athletes in the world in 2025. He is going to have a one-year contract extension worth £167.9 million, as was reported last month.
