“YOU BE MUMU”: Reactions as a pretty university girl kills herself because her boyfriend dumbed her

Nigerians are not showing any mercy to a young, pretty university lady who killed herself over a failed relationship.

Miss Sarah Maikefi, before her shocking demise was a Microbiology student at Nasarawa State University. According to the report, she was extremely intelligent and pride to her parents.

After conclusion of her second-semester exams on December 8, Sarah was healthy but was going through a lot within because her boyfriend dumbed her for another girl.

Then, she went home and killed herself at her lodge opposite campus.

Reacting, her cousin, Miss Patience Maikefi, who is also a student at the school, said Sarah called her after writing her exams on December 8.

Sarah said over the phone that she could no longer move on, that she was tired. She ended the call abruptly. All Patience’s effort to get her was in vain; she refused to answer.

The deceased killed herself. Her roommate and neighbours tried but failed to save her as she was pronounced dead at the school’s clinic.

Describing her as a calm and gentle girl, a student who told the Nation that his name was Danjuma also confirmed the incident.

“We met here early this year when she came for her four-year degree programme and we shared a good relationship as students. She was gentle, calm and cool,” Danjuma told the Nation.

Sarah was the last child of her parents. She had three siblings.
